About Automotive Lift Institute
  • Originally founded in 1945 as the trade association of U.S. manufacturers of in-ground lifts, the Automotive Lift Institute (ALI), in cooperation with the National Bureau of Standards, sponsored the first standard governing automotive lifts (CS142) in 1947.
